Editor of The Abington Suburban, a weekly newspaper with a 7,000-person circulation focusing on the Abingtons, located in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Also responsible for publishing items to the newspaper's website as well as linking the newspaper with various social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Won second place in the 2014 Pennsylvania Women’s Press Association Excellence in Journalism Awards for headlines. Also co-edited weekly newspaper The Triboro Banner and edited monthly newspaper A Pocono Country Place. Was also the company’s Special Sections Editor and was responsible for creating and producing content and layout for the various special sections inserted into the Scranton Times -Tribune, including Today’s Woman, Working Class, The Great Northeast Job Fair, How-To Guide and more.

Wrote articles for a weekly newspaper focusing on the city of Scranton, Pa. and surrounding areas. Articles centered on features including cultural events, local elections, and personality profiles. Won five Keystone Press Awards for my work as well as three Pennsylvania Women’s Press Association Excellence in Journalism awards.
The Villager, Moscow, PA: 2007-2009
Editor of a weekly newspaper with a 2,000-person circulation in the North Pocono region of Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Responsible for writing articles, taking pictures, designing pages with Quark and InDesign and transforming them into PDF files, designing and updating the newspaper’s website, and hiring/managing staff. Newspaper won its first two Keystone Press Awards in its 50-year history under my editorship.

Adjunct instructor of history and journalism at a two-year college in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Taught American History to 1865 both in class and online as well as World History and Social Media Journalism courses.

Edited several full-length books including non-fiction work as well as novels. Wrote press releases and biographies for notable area musicians and have worked with PreMediaGlobal as an independent contractor editing Italian textbooks for college use. My role is to help facilitate the chef's presentation by asking relevant questions and keeping the conversation flowing in front of a live audience. "The Menu" is a monthly show and airs on Electric City Television (ECTV) in Scranton, PA.
SIAMO: The Italian-American Heritage Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania
SIAMO's goal is to preserve the Italian-American heritage through publicly-accessible activities, such as art and photography exhibits, reading clubs and Italian language meetups. SIAMO is also responsible for maintaining the Sister City relationship between Guardia dei Lombardi, Italy and Scranton, PA, USA.
